About me

My name is Dee and I run The Urban Dog Training Academy.
My love for animals started at an early age when my parents finally gave in to my constant plea for a pet!  Smudge, my Dwarf French Lop Rabbit, was house trained, walked on a lead and even had fairly decent recall for a rabbit! I then moved on to the wonderful world of dogs and I can honestly say I have never looked back.  My first ever dog was a Labrador called Leo who I rescued at 6 months old, and now I have 4 dogs with all very different training needs.

I have trained with the Dog Training College for my Dog Trainer qualifications and their methods are based soley on positive reinforcement. So much can be achieved with this method and it doesn't matter whether you have a new puppy, or an older dog, no dog is ever too old to learn new things.

I offer 121 sessions in your home, out and about or in a secure field/woodland, and group sessions are available on request. I firmly believe training should be fun for you and your dog in order for you both to get the most out of it and build on your relationship together.

I have also trained my own Assistance Dogs with the help of a wonderful charity, where I hope to volunteer as a trainer there soon.
